- School Library Collection - call numbers begin with WB
- This "library within a library" consists of approximately 18,000 books for grades K-12, in areas including reading, language arts, music, science, health, mathematics, social studies, and multicultural education. It is arranged according to a pseudo-Dewey Decimal Classification. This collection also includes hands-on materials, idea books, activity books, lesson plan books, and thematic units.

- Secondary School Textbooks - call numbers begin with WS
- A very small number of donated high school texts are available for review.
- Picture Books and Big Books - call numbers begin with WB
- A small number of books intended for children K-3;
mostly children's literature. "Big Books" are suitable for reading
aloud to groups of children.
- State Adopted Textbooks, K-8 - call numbers begin with WC
- Textbooks are collected in all curricular subjects
for grades K-8. Emphasis in the textbook collection is on materials
approved by the California State Department of Education. Texts adopted
by local schools may be acquired comprehensively, while other exemplary
texts are collected selectively. Also in this area are media materials
that accompany State-adopted materials such as:
transparencies, study prints, games, realia, multimedia kits, videos and
manipulatives; as well as educational software that accompanies

The Teacher's Resource Center is located on the Southwest corner on the 2nd floor of the Robert E. Kennedy Library.
